A letter to me from Sam

Halló. Many people like to send me letters on my email and my Face-book. My friend Sam who is thirteen years old and very polite, wrote me a letter on my Face-book. Here it is:

Because I am also very polite I wrote Sam this reply:

Halló Sam. Takk very much for writing on my wall.

I would like very much to have you and your family visit me, especially if your parents are as polite as you are. I will ask my people to be very polite to you, too.

I do not know very much about where it is best to stay on me. I have never stayed in a hotel — it is the hotels that stay on me. But the nice people at my people’s Tourist Board have made a good list for you

(I will also ask my friends on the Twitter to give you good advice about this.)

I am glad you like my Björk, but many of my other good people also make good music for you to listen to with your ears and dance to with your feet. For example the FM Belfast and Retro Stefson, and many more that you can look at here on my Vimeo and read about on your Inter-net.

My people also have a good music festival called Iceland Air-waves that you can come and visit when you are a few years older, and don’t have to take your parents with you. The music is too loud for them.

Before you come and visit me, you can also read what my friend Ástráður says. He is a bit younger than you, but he has good advice for young people who want to visit me.

I hope I have given you good advice, but you can ask me more questions if you want. (And while you think of them, you can look at this picture of me, made by my friend Kai, who is fourteen.

See you soon,
- Iceland

I asked my friends on the Twitter if they, too, had good advice for Sam, and many of them did. You can see it all here.
