Halló, I am Iceland and this is my Tumblr. I am an island and I want to be your friend. I am also on the Twitter, the Face-book, the Vimeo. (You can also visit me one day, if you are not too busy and important.)

I see I’m not the first to recommend “Heima,” a documentary/concert film by Sigur Ròs, but I’m afraid it’s all I can come up with. And it *is* brilliant. Powerful music.

Another vote for Skugga-Baldur, and also Independent People by Halldor Laxniss. As for movies, Dreamland is really eye-opening.

Sódóma Reykjavík (Remote Control in English) is really funny movie. But Angels of the Universe might be my favorite. I can also recommend books by Arnaldur Indriðason.
