Halló, this is Iceland.
One year ago, my volcano was making many problems for busy and important humans, who could not go where they wanted in their flying machines.
On this moving picture made by Inga Birgisdóttir, you can see what it looked like. But without the noise, and with silent trumpets instead of fire.
Inga, who is very clever and makes good still pictures and músík vídeós, made this...

A lot of my friends are asking “Where? Why? How? Isn’t it going to...
– First, my new friend Vanessa said this in a famous journal about a wall in the street, and then she told me on my Face-book. As you can see, she likes a famous city called París very much, but she is still coming to visit me in a month. (I am very different from París. My churches are not as big....

Icelandic bands that are not Sigur Rós →
Maybe you have heard about an Icelandic band called “Sigur Rós”. Here is a link for Icelandic bands that are not called Sigur Rós. Takk.

Halló, this is Iceland.
As you know, I have many rivers running through me.
Many humans like to look at them, and drink their water, and sometimes get wet feet when they cross them.
But other humans (like the ones in this moving picture) think it is better to just jump into them.

Is an Icelandic volcano erupting? →
It is now one year since my volcano started erupting. Humans sometimes ask me if they are still doing that. That is why the people who help me with the Inter-net made this page for you to look at, and see the answer.

Sometimes in my summertime, the friendly people in FM Belfast are lying down in front of their house, thinking that it would be a really good idea to have a house in the Caribbean. (Many humans think this is a good idea.)
But they are not in the Caribbean now. One of their Árnis — they have two of them, it is better that way — is at least at the Reykjavík Music Mess tomorrow. And he just wants to...

Timburmenn on the Inter-net →
Halló. Many humans are curious about my people’s language. This is why I sometimes explain words from it on your Inter-net.
From everysinglewordinicelandic:
If humans are not careful, they can sometimes get “timbur-menn”. (I have noticed that this often happens to them on Saturdays and Sundays.)
It sounds like “timber men”, but it means “hang-over”.
“Timburmenn” has been in my people’s...

Halló humans on the Inter-net.
I have noticed that many of you like to visit me in flying machines and walk all over me.
Others (like my friend Matt) are not as patient. They prefer to write ride their bicycles all over me instead.
As you can see in this moving picture, this is faster.
Bless bless, - Iceland

– Gill Coleman came in a flying machine to visit me and see my northern lights. Then he wrote this on my Face-book.

Halló, this is Iceland.
Maybe you know that my people really like to be in bands with their friends, and use their brains and hands to make good músík together.
Most of my people’s bands (like this one, which is called Reykjavík!) do not sound like a famous band called Sigur Rós, but my people do not care about this. They just want to make good músík.
If you like this song by the people...
